Care Instructions for PPF

How to Wash a Car with PPF

To keep your vehicle in top condition, we recommend using a dedicated PPF shampoo. This makes cleaning easier and safer for the film. After the initial rinse or foam pre-wash, use a microfiber wash mitt to further clean the car.

Important washing tips:

Do not use shampoos or waxes containing abrasive materials.

Avoid aggressive cleaners such as solvent-based products or acids.

When using a pressure washer, always keep a distance of at least 80 cm between the nozzle and the film.

Pay special attention to the edges of the film spraying too close can cause lifting.

While these guidelines may seem strict at first, you will quickly get used to them and you’ll notice that washing a car with PPF is actually easier than washing unprotected paint.

How to Remove Scratches

Most scratches in PPF disappear naturally thanks to its self-healing properties. Heat activates the repair process:

  • Sunlight is often enough.
  • In winter, use warm water during washing.
  • For specific areas, carefully pour hot water over the film to activate healing.

How to Handle Insects and Bird Droppings

  • Dead insects should be rinsed off as soon as possible. If left in strong sunlight, they may burn into the film, creating a wave-like effect.
  • Bird droppings should also be removed immediately. While the damage won’t reach your paint, it can still leave marks in the film if left too long.

By following these care instructions, your Paint Protection Film will last longer, look better, and provide maximum protection.
